What makes a well designed game?  Are the most financially successful games out there really the best designed games?  Join a panel of speakers from the local Phoenix game development community for a discussion on what makes video games tick.

Presented by David Koontz and More!

The speakers this month will be a select panel of local Phoenix game developers head up by local developer Dave Koontz.  Joining David for the Panel will be local developers Tim Winsky (Adventure Time: Time Tangle), Steve Swink (Scale), and Trenton Kennedy (Boldly Games) The format will be an open discussion and the audience can freely join in as well.

ASU Call for Part Time Instructors
ASU is currently seeking part time professors for four courses for the Fall 2014 semester.  There are three positions for Game Maker courses available, and one position for a Unity 3d course.  If you’re interested, email your resume to Yoshihiro Kobayashi (ykobaya@asu.edu)

Grave Kickstarter
The local development team behind Grave was successful with their Kickstarter and raised over $30,000 to bring Grave to the world.

Hex Heroes Kickstarter
Somewhat local developers behind Hex Heroes were successful in their Kickstarter campaign to raise $80,000 for their new title Hex Heroes.

Adventure Time: Time Tangle
Local developers Tim Winsky and Winston Powell have announced their latest project Adventure Time: Time Tangle.  An official Adventure Time game coming out for iOS sometime in the next few months.
