Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 23rd! IGDA Phoenix will be meeting at 7:00pm in the theatre at the University of Advancing Technology.

Our featured speaker for this month is David Koontz, and he’s going to be dropping knowledge bombs on the crowd about his recent experiences in the wild world of multiplayer game architecture.

Multiplayer Game Architecture

What makes the development of a networked multiplayer game different from a single player or local multiplayer game? Come learn about the issues around the world of networked multiplayer games. This is a relatively high level talk and is suitable for all game development persuasions (yes, even you artists!). The focus will be on the concepts and big picture gotchas. Examples will be given of specific implementations and tools for popular development environments such as Flash and Unity.

IGDA Phoenix and UAT will be partially sponsoring free pizza for the event. If you’d like to make a donation toward the pizza fund, please consider buying a Pizza Sponsor RSVP on Eventbrite, or make a cash donation at the meeting.
